You will be hard pressed to find another accommodation so close to the beach! Only minutes away, you can choose between sand, rock pools or pier. Early morning walks are rewarded with the most amazing sunrises over Phillip Island, or alternatively make up a grazing platter and enjoy the beautiful sunset on the Flinders Ocean Beach overlooking Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary and keep an eye out for whales breaching.

There will be little need for a car when discovering the Flinders township. The house is walking distance to Flinders Village, Golf course, Yacht club, pier and beach. It is a great place to explore by bike and the quiet streets are very safe for kids.

Flinders is one of the Mornington Peninsulas most charming villages, with an historic streetscape shaded by broad verandahs, excellent eateries, gourmet produce stores, boutique shops, galleries, antique outlets, a famous Flinders Golf Course perched on the clifftop overlooking the ocean and stunning coastal walks. The Village is like stepping back in time there are no traffic lights, no big brand shops, just a well-stocked General Store, the quintessential
country pub, boutique owner-operated shops and galleries.

Offering spectacular views across Western Port to Phillip Island, Flinders fronts onto the calm waters of Western Port in the west with a small yacht club and a 250m long pier popular for fishing.
To the south is Flinders Ocean Beach and the protected Mushrooom Reef Marine Sanctuary where you can swim and snorkel with many species of fish and Weedy Sea Dragons. The reef is very protected and offers safe swimming for all ages, and an amazing spot to explore the volcanic rock pools at low tide

Once you get to Flinders, it is best explored by foot or by bike. You really feel a world away in the quiet country streets. There is plenty of parking in the main street and around the fabulous park
and playground in the main street.

You will need a car to explore the many amazing wineries and other tourist attractions like Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens, Enchanted Adventure Garden & Tree Surfing, the new Arthurs Seat Eagle or Coolart Homestead & Wetlands. Car parking on site for 4 cars

This home belongs to our extended family and we would like you to treat it as you would if it belonged to a member of your own family. We provide cleaning and fresh linen but would appreciate if you could leave the house neat and tidy,
similar to how you found it when you arrived.

We had a lovely weekend in Phillippas house. The balcony is great, with an excellent awning to keep the sun off. We were all very comfy (6 of us) and enjoyed being able to walk to the beach as well as enjoy the local sites.

We had a lovely stay at Phillippa's place. Such a great location walking distance to the beach and shops. Would definitely stay there again.

The Flinders Deckhouse is a great place to stay for a family or small group holiday. The place was fantastically clean, lovely linen, well equipped kitchen, great big deck. Ben the co-host was a wonderful communicator
and gave us so many fabulous tips. The location is excellent. Our tip would be that it suits two families with kids rather than a group of adults as the bunk beds are better suited to children. We would highly recommend this place and beautiful Flinders. Thanks
so much Phillippa and Ben!

We were a family group of 7 ...grandparents, parents and 3 kids. The house was a good size and comfortable without being too perfect to relax in. It is situated a couple of hundred metres from all that Flinders
has to offer so great location. Lots of lovely touches such as snack nuts and biscuits left for our enjoyment. Also Easter eggs for the kids. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate in a couple of times. Had a gorgeous sunny lunch on the deck with famous
Flinders mussels. Communication with Philippa and/or Ben was so helpful. As well as clear instructions regarding the house they gave us a comprehensive list of things to do. Can't think of a nicer place to explore Mornington from.

May 2019-Great location, close to beach and wineries. House had everything we needed, it was cold the weekend we were there so was able to use the fireplace which was great, very dog friendly and our four legged friend enjoyed the backyard. Host was quick to respond and it was a quick and easy check in. Highly recommend a weekend away at the Flinders Deckhouse. Scharelle

January 2019 -Lovely home amongst the trees. Large deck is fantastic for summer nights. Well located for local amenities but quiet and private too! Jamie

December 2018-Fantastic location, house provided everything that we needed, and the interactions with the hosts was quick and easy. Highly recommend! - Jack

Jan 2017Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay. If you can let the owner know the house was great, we really appreciated the wine and treats on arrival after our long drive from Sydney and we had a very relaxing time at the place. It was great to be in a house that was stocked well with everything we needed.
